Credit Corp extends its natural disaster response

Credit Corp has extended its response to recent natural disasters within Australia including flooding on the eastern coast and bush fires in Western Australia.

Throughout January collection activity within affected regions has been suspended and Credit Corp now confirms its commitment to respond flexibly to customers who have suffered loss during these disasters. Customers who have suffered financial loss and are unable to make payments will not be charged any interest or dishonoured payment fees throughout the period from 1 Jan 2011 to 30 Apr 2011. Furthermore, customers who have suffered severe loss will be assessed individually for a longer term solution.

We are committed to responding to customers with fairness and understanding. Any customers in affected areas who wish to discuss their accounts should contact their Credit Corp relationship managers. We also encourage contact from consumer representatives and financial counsellors assisting customers with their recovery from these events.
