• I need to update my personal details. What do I do? If you have any personal details i.e your name, address, contact telephone number or bank details that need to be updated you should advise us promptly to avoid mis-communication.

My Credit Record

• Do I have a default on my credit file? If you are not sure whether you have a default listing on your credit file you should contact the credit reporting agency, Veda Advantage. You are entitled to a copy of your credit file free of charge.Visit the Veda Advantage website.
• What does it mean to have a default on my credit file? If your account has been overdue more than 60 days your credit provider may list a default on your credit file with a credit reporting agency, subject to certain requirements in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
  
  Once a default is listed on your credit file it may be more difficult for you to obtain further credit. The default listing will remain on your credit file for 5 years, even if you pay the account. Repaying my account

• I want to clear my account and have my credit file updated as soon as possible. What do I do? If you are able to clear your account immediately you should contact us as soon as possible so that we can assist you in finalizing your account.
  
  Once paid, you will receive a letter confirming the payment and that the account is finalised.
  Your credit record will be automatically updated within 14 days.
• What will happen if I am unable to pay my debt immediately? If you can’t pay your debt immediately we advise you to contact us so we are aware of your situation. We will then work together with you to agree on a suitable payment arrangement for the repayment of your outstanding balance.
• How can I set up a repayment arrangement? If you are unable to pay your outstanding balance in full at this time but are able to set up a suitable repayment arrangement, please contact our Customer Relationship Manager to assist in discussing a suitable resolution.
• What payment methods do you accept? Credit Corp accepts a range of payment methods and you can find all the details in the ‘Make a Payment’ section on this website.

  Make a Payment

• What happens if I don’t keep up with my repayments or I don’t have enough funds in my account for the direct debit? Once you have agreed to a repayment arrangement with Credit Corp we will continuously monitor your account and from time to time, we may contact you to review your circumstances. We do recognise that through no fault of your own you may find yourself in a situation where you don’t have enough funds to keep up with your periodic repayments. If you know this beforehand you should contact our Customer Relationship Manager so we can work on a suitable alternative.

• What will happen if I ignore your attempts to contact me? We urge you to contact us promptly in order to minimise interest or fees and charges being added to your account.
  
  We can only be flexible in resolving your account if you make contact and explain your circumstances. It has been our experience that the most effective and rapid way to deal with your account is to respond promptly to Credit Corp's attempts to speak with you.
• I have received a Notice from you but this is not my account? If you have received correspondence or contact from us and believe that the account is not yours, please advise us promptly so that we can investigate and resolve the issue with minimum inconvenience to you.
• I would like to appoint a third party to deal with you on my behalf. What do I do? If you would like to appoint another person to deal with us on your behalf please contact your Customer Relationship Manager or call us on our Toll Free number and request a Letter of Authority (LOA) form to be sent to you.
  
  Once we have received a completed and signed Letter of Authority we will refer all future contact to the appointed person. Alternatively, you are able to provide us with verbal LOA over the phone but you must speak with your Customer Relationship Manager to arrange this.
• I am receiving correspondence for someone who does not live at my address, what should I do? If the correspondence is addressed to an individual who does not live at your address you should contact us on 1800 221 414 and let us know promptly. Alternatively please mark the envelope "not known at this address" and return it to us via mail.

• I have received a Notice of intention to commence legal proceedings. What does this mean? The notice advises that we now looking seriously at the possibility of commencing legal action in order to resolve the matter. You should contact your Customer Relationship Manager to discuss your situation so that a suitable resolution can be found without the need for us to commence legal action.
• I have received a Statement of Liquidated Claim. What should I do? A Statement of Liquidated Claim (also known as a Compliant in Victoria) is a document filed in court which sets out the particulars of the claim and the amount outstanding. When served with this document you have 28 days to respond (this varies from state to state, so please ensure you read the document carefully). Your response can involve paying the amount claimed in full, entering into a payment arrangement either with us or the court, requesting further information if you are unsure of the details claimed or filing a Defence with court if you dispute the claim. If you are unsure of your rights you should seek legal advice or contact our legal team to discuss possible avenues to resolve the issue.
• How can Credit Corp enforce a Judgment? Once judgment is entered, a number of enforcement options are available in accordance with the court rules. These enforcement actions can have serious consequences. You are encouraged to urgently contact your Customer Relationship Manager or Credit Corp's legal team to discuss the situation.
